Waterfalls in La Union

La Union is a coastal province in the Ilocos Region, with San Fernando as the capital and the surf town of San Juan as the main visitor base. Our coverage now spans four waterfalls: Tangadan Falls in San Gabriel, Balay Anito and Simminublan Falls in Santol, and Occalong Falls in Luna. Tangadan is the busiest and the usual first stop, while the Santol falls reward a steeper hike into the northern highlands. Occalong is the easiest of the group, a short walk from the road outside Luna. The dry season is best for clear trails, and the rocks can be slippery after rain.
