Cordillera Administrative Region
Waterfalls in Ifugao
Ifugao is a landlocked Cordillera province in northern Luzon, famous for the Banaue and Batad rice terraces. Our coverage is Tappiya Falls near Batad, reached on foot from the village along a steep trail. The walk is usually combined with a terrace hike and a local guide, and the return climb is demanding in the heat. The province is best visited in the dry season, when the terraces are green and the trails are safer. Banaue is the main transport hub, with buses from Manila and Baguio taking several hours.
