Central Luzon
Waterfalls in Nueva Ecija
Nueva Ecija is the rice bowl of the Philippines, a landlocked province in Central Luzon north of Manila. Cabanatuan City is the main transport hub, and from there jeeps and vans head east toward Gabaldon at the foot of the Sierra Madre. Our coverage is Gabaldon Falls, a small spring-fed cascade inside the NEUST eco park, reached on a short forest walk with stream crossings. The province is better known for rice fields, Minalungao National Park and Pantabangan Lake, so the falls work best as a half-day add-on. The dry season is the most comfortable time to walk.
