Northern Mindanao
Waterfalls in Camiguin
Camiguin is a volcanic island province in Northern Mindanao, reached by ferry from Cagayan de Oro, Bohol or mainland Misamis Oriental. The island is small enough to circle in a day, with Mambajao as the main town. Our coverage includes Katibawasan Falls near Mambajao and Tuasan Falls in Catarman, both fed by the island's volcanic interior. Camiguin is also known for hot springs, sandbars and the Sunken Cemetery, so the falls fit easily into a longer island itinerary. Roads are short but winding, and the dry season is the most comfortable time to walk the trails.
