A stairway of cool limestone cascades in New Corella, known as the water basin of Davao del Norte.
Panas Falls spreads over dozens of limestone tiers inside the Panas Eco-Cultural Park, where spring water from underground sources spills from one shallow pool to the next. The grippy limestone makes the lower tiers easy to explore. The park is New Corella's foremost inland resort, with cottages, grilling stations and picnic grounds set beside the cascades. Visitors who walk about 1.5 kilometres upriver leave the crowds behind and find quieter tiers in denser forest.
